Ultrasonic metal welding is ideal for joining non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, brass, and certain dissimilar metal combinations (e.g., copper to aluminum). It is commonly used for battery tab welding, wire harness termination, and busbar connections in the EV industry.
Unlike resistance welding, ultrasonic welding uses high-frequency mechanical vibrations to create solid-state bonds without melting the materials. This results in no sparks, no fumes, minimal heat-affected zones, and lower energy consumption — making it ideal for sensitive applications like battery cells.
For large-section wire harnesses, high-voltage terminals and MES-connected mass production, R20-S1000 combines 12000 N welding force, a 120 mm stroke and full-process data traceability. For thick busbars and other high-power applications, R20-T100 is recommended.
